Visiting Grace Heritage Ranch is an informative look at a family run ranch where you will have the rare opportunity to experience a simpler life. We are a unique family attraction for the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. Tours are by appointment only.

• See in the distance the local wind farm of 171 wind turbines
• Appreciate the importance of heritage breed animals to homestead survivability
• Enjoy the sights, sounds, smells, and touch of the GHR experience!

By request (ahead of time) and time permitting:

• At the Welcome Center, see up close (or keep your distance) and gain an appreciation for scorpions and tarantulas
• Understand the importance of cotton in Willacy County and how it, along with wool, angora, cashmere, and other fibers are spun into yarn

The content can vary depending on the age and interest level of those attending and also animal cooperation and seasonal changes. We are flexible!! Bring a group with your family and other friends for fun in the country!

Please understand that Grace Heritage Ranch is an operating ranch and working homestead; it could be a potentially dangerous place. You’ll need to arrive early enough to fill out our indemnity form or download the form, sign it, and bring it with you. This form is required for every adult guest.

Tour Information

This is an outdoor activity of approximately 2 and 1/2 hours. The weather will dictate your level of comfort, so please dress accordingly for the conditions. For safety and comfort, all guests will need sturdy, close-toed walking shoes. In the event of a recent rain, the ground might be muddy. If dangerous weather conditions are predicted for the day you want to visit, we may find it necessary to cancel. Since weather could be an issue, please check weather conditions the day of your visit or call Brian at 956-230-6902 before leaving home.

Along the way we have benches to rest on and hand washing stations. A bottle of cold water is free with your paid admission.

No food, drinks (except water), gum, glass, candy, or tobacco products are allowed on the tour path. Please do not bring food from your home to feed the animals. You will be given plenty of appropriate animal food with each paid admission.

A picnic area is available if you would like to stay after the tour.

Tours are by appointment only. We are in a rural location, so leave home early to give yourself plenty of time to find us.
