Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts, it’s time to earn your Animal Habitats or Animal Helpers Merit Badge

Can a trip to Grace Heritage Ranch help earn a merit badge? Sure can! We have lots of animal information and experiences to help you meet some of the requirements for your Animal Habitats and Animal Helpers Merit Badges. Come join us and get to work earning those badges!

  • Meet farm and ranch animal breeds of cattle, sheep, goats, hogs and poultry
  • Learn how animals behave
  • See a nest box where a rabbit would raise her babies
  • Hear our stories about animals keeping us and each other safe
  • See how animal fur and wool was spun into yarn using old tools

The most important thing is to preserve the world we live in. Unless people understand and learn about our world, habitats, and animals, they won’t understand that if we don’t protect those habitats, we’ll eventually destroy ourselves.” – Jack Hanna

The price is $8.00 per scout or scout leader.

Call us at 1-844-Visit-GHR and schedule a time for your troop to earn their Badge!!

Animal Habitats – Junior’s Badge

Imagine meeting a monkey or kicking up dust with a kangaroo. These animals live in the wild, so we don’t get to spend time with them in their natural homes – their habitats. But that doesn’t mean we can’t find out more about where they live, how they play, and how we can help them. – Animal Habitats Merit Badge Introduction

There are 5 steps to complete in order to earn this badge.

  1. Find out about wild animals
  2. Investigate an animal habitat
  3. Create an animal house (check-out baby animal habitats)

  5. Help protect animal habitats

Through a tour at Grace Heritage Ranch, we can help you with all the requirements in these steps, except for step 5.

Animal Helpers – Cadette’s Badge
